Here’s a list of the private IPv4 address ranges:

  • 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255 (10.0.0.0/8)

  • 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255 (172.16.0.0/12)

  • 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 (192.168.0.0/16)

These private IP address ranges are reserved for use in private networks, such as local area networks (LANs), and are not routable on the public internet. Private IP addresses are used to identify devices within a private network and can be assigned to multiple devices as long as they are not used on the public internet.

Private IP addresses are often used in conjunction with Network Address Translation (NAT) to allow devices on a private network to communicate with devices on the public internet. NAT maps the private IP addresses of devices on a private network to a single public IP address, allowing them to share a connection to the internet.
